Quote - I tried duplicating the face using Aiko3, I gave up. Nice render! Well done!
Thanks.
The trick that works for me when I try to create an anime or manga character is to focus on the basic shape of the face which usually requires toying with the Stylized Dial and X and Y scale dials to shape the head. After knowing how to make those things work together things become much easier and you'll be able to create some truly anime looking characters like this.
This is Aiko 3, and it required some major adjustments with the X and Y Scale dials( both for the head and the body. That's why the neck is so long). I did the same thing with her arms and legs to make them longer as well.
Quote - Nice character design. Reminds me of Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War. Oh, wait, she was a blonde wasn't she? x.x;
Record of Lodross War influenced the design for this character. I wish I could use this character in my new art but unfortunately my external hard drive died on me. But I have hopes that she will return once I get the hard drive repaired.
Wow. I loved Appleseed. I read some of the graphic novels.

Quote - did you see the movie?
If you mean Appleseed Ex Machina then I've seen that one. The movie is incredible. I'm always going back to it for inspiration on how to set up some of my scenes in Poser.
I do the same with Final Fantasy Advent Children for inspiration on creating a sense of movement.
I saw one of the appleseed movies. I liked it.

Appleseed
Appleseed Ex Machina
Final Fantasy the Spirits Within
Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
Resident Evil: Degenerationany others?
Vexille is another good one.
I just saw Vexille, I was surprise to find that I had it on my Netflix instant movies. It was actually very good and some of the suits that the SWORD unit were wearing reminded me of one of the poser suits that i purchased a long time ago. But definitely a good movie.

Quote - Where did you get the model for Briareos?
I used Uzilite's Major Cache armor set and then made modifications/additions using the modeler Silo. This was one of my first projects, so It leaves a lot to be desired.

hell yeah
appleseed is my favourite one, collected all the books/databooks/movies/toys.
ive even made an related item for the market place, deunan knutes norinco- made in poseidon "Gong" multi purpose hand cannon. ive tried to recreate it as accurate as possible
it is almost fully posable, has a moving bolt carrier, safety switch, and some spare parts like shells and magazines
there is also a freebie in the freestuff section, a "commando" version with the wooden shaft and pistol grip replaced with plastic
and then there is this currently unreleased model of the helical magazine sub machine gun used in the 2004 appleseed movie. still planning on finishing and releasing it soon, it lacks textures, and i have to take it apart to make it posable
and heres something really old, i was working once on the O.R.C. power armor eswat is using in high risk entry situations, shown in the mangas, still very early work in progress pics
