Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Oct 26 8:50 am)
The rules say ANY version of Vue, so I guess that includes watermarked versions. I'm not sure how good that would make your entry look though.

I think that's supposed to 500kb, but I'm not sure. I'll check back on this.

The kb limit for the galleries is 512kb, but for reasons I don't remember, the kb limit for the changes - both here and in the Bryce challenges - is 250kb.
Let me know if the 250kb limit causes any of you problems.

Bacellar, that would depend on the challenge specifics for the months on question.
Some challenges will not permit postwork. Please go to the Official Thread of the current challenge for more details.

Here are the Monthly Challenge Rules.
To give everyone here a fair go, I'll accept suggestions for changes/alterations until the end of this month. After that they'll be booleaned into a Bryce cube - yes, I said Bryce, and therefore untouchable. ;-)
**Vue Forum Monthly Challenge Rules - General Overview and Specifics **
Each month the Vue Forum has a themed monthly Challenge. All Renderosity members are invited to participate.
The winner(s) of the previous months Challenge will choose the theme for the next challenge.
** RULES:
** Create an image in any version of Vue based on the theme of the challenge.
The challenge will run for approximately one (1) month - there will be an option for two months should circumstances, the time of year, or the challenge setter require it.
The deadline for entries shall be 12-Midnight Renderosity Time on the Last Day of the Challenge - usually the last day of the month.
Entrants are permitted one (1) entry only.
Challenge entries will be NEW work; NOT something posted previously in the galleries or entered into other challenges or competitions. (If it's been simmering on the back-burner on your HDD for ten years then fine. But it must not have seen the light of day prior to a challenge.)
Any entry posted in any Gallery other than the Challenge Entry Page before the end of the Voting Deadline (usually 3 days after the image entry deadline) WILL be disqualified!!!!! If an entry has been included in the voting and is then found to have been posted elsewhere before the completion of voting, it will be removed and the voting adjusted accordingly.
Imports: Entrants may import objects or elements created in applications other than Vue. However, the challenge setter may impose restrictions on imports or elements - for example 2D skies or textures/materials - should the challenge subject-matter warrant it.
Voting
The Renderosity Voting System will be used.
- After voting is completed, the votes will be tallied, and the Winners announced in the Vue Forum.
The Winners will be given an award image they may use on their personal site, or however they see fit.
In the case of any ties, the members will share the placements.
The First Place Winner(s), will then choose the next months theme.
Entry Specifications:
Entries should be in .jpg format.
Entries may be sized from 800 x 600 to 1024 x 768 but with the proviso that no-one should be penalised when it comes to voting because their work was presented at 800 x 600 when it might have looked better at 1024 x 768. Square ratios should be no smaller than 600 x 600.
Entries can be no larger than 250kb.
Entries that do not fall within the dimension or Kb restrictions, will be resized for approval and voting.
Thumbnails
Thumbnails can only be 100x100 pixels, maximum. Any larger and they will not upload. Jpg format, 15kb max.
**Disclaimer:
**By creating and uploading an entry to the Vue Monthly Challenge entrants confirm that they have read and understood these rules.
Thank you for your support.
