I would think after a while most product's sales Peter out, so those items need to eventually be replaced in the store? I've seen items disappear from other online stores. Persumably because they aren't selling enough or not at all anymore?
Obviously DAZ thinks there is still enough money to be made from your products. Good for you!

This place seems to have a Wall-mart like policy for sale items. If there's not enough turnover they don't want to stock it.
For merchants that do niche items that don't sell often, you'll often see the short end of the stick. (Your numbers seem pretty good though - way better than I've hoped for, I'm surprised they're still not "good enough".) I've even had people ask where "such and such" went, because of the daft expiration based policy.
Good luck to you over at Daz though.
I won't specifically name names of competitors, but if you primarily do sales of things that aren't Daz/Poser specific and are more of an "every now and then" type sale, you're much better off doing business via a place that uses a combination of "volute shaped compressor" and "tentacled mollusk" in its name. They might take more of a cut, but you don't have to watch your back so much on the marketing end, all with constant worries of your stuff getting dropped from the inventory. In that aspect it's much easier to do business there.
If not that route, there's still the possibility of setting up your own site and doing business that way. But I still find using an established market a lot easier to deal with.
Renderosity is good for everything else though (hard to beat the forums, comradery, galleries, etc.), it's just that their market for sellers is a particular and narrow one and if you don't fit it becomes painfully obvious.
Your friendly neighborhood Wings3D nut.
Also feel free to browse my freebies at ShareCG.
There might be something worth downloading.
It costs a lot to keep a site like Renderosity going and free to members. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do to stay afloat. Sometimes you just can't afford to do what's best for even your long time venders. I don't have any first hand knowledge of how the MP deals with such things. I'm just speaking in generalities.

my shader sets are only from 200 to 700 Ko, with a lot of work hours spent (Approximately 5 hours for each shader).
So I think it's not the good argument...
It's just about their policy and their principles, that's a pity.

Hello,
To be Frank, these last years, I sold 1250 products at Renderosity's for a total of $18464.66.
The global revenue for Renderosity is $8786.79.
StaceyG, Renderosity site manager, has found that was not enough and began to destroy my products in July 2010.
After some discussion, I then asked to remove the rest of my products from sale at Renderosity.
I do not want to work with people so greedy and who do not bring a correct value added service.
For those who enjoy my products and wish to buy them again , they can
ask Dan Farr and Kevin Peterson (at Daz3D's) if they are ready to sell
the products in the Daz3d store.
I already selling 4 products there.
Thank you for your understanding,
Regards,
Holyforest
