Hello All!

Just migrated my work space from Poser 4 on an older 8600 mac to a MacBook Pro running Poser7.
Trying to find all the apps I need to get back into it and there is one I just don't remember the name of to see if there is a current version for Poser 7 running on a newer Mac under SnowLeopard OS 10.6.4.

Anyone here know what I am talking about and can you tell me if it is available for my system?

It doesn't exist for you. It was never updated for OSX. Maconstructor is the name of it. I haven't found anything else to replace it.

Damn that freaking sucks!
As usual Mac users get the poopie end of the poser stick.
Thanks!

The Poser Tool Box has a morph transfer button.

Hey Phil!

Thanks for jumping in here. I just so depressed I had to smoke a ciggie and I hate smoking....makes my nose hairs yellow!  LOL
I assume this function is in Poser 7?

PhilC ( ) posted Mon, 18 October 2010 at 4:37 PM

Poser 5 and later, so yes it is there in the Poser 7 version.

I tried reaing the info on the page you sent me to and I felt it was a bit over my head. Is it a complete tutorial for newbies to these later versions of Poser or for advanced users like yourself?

It is details of a Python script that I wrote that enables what you want to do in a couple of button clicks. You do not need to know anything about Python or scripting, you just need to click the menu buttons.

I hghly recommend Poser Toolbox and Pocketknife.  Simple, straight forward, easy to use.  Well worth the price.

PhilC:
So I would need to install a Python Script you sell for these functions to work in P7 or do they work out of the box and but your python simplifies use if I get it and install it?

Icprncss2:
What are these tools you speak of and are they available for the Mac versions of Poser7?

A lot of Poser functionality has been exposed to the user and may be manipulated using Python scripting. You can write your own scripts.

Over the years I've written one or two, see this page for my full list.
http://www.philc.net/store_Python_utilities.php
The Poser Tool Box and Pocket Knife are listed there.

If you go to the Poser help menu you'll be able to bring up the Poser Python manual. If you find that to be somewhat rudimentary you may be interested in the one that I wrote.

Thanks everyone for the info. What I really need to do first is figure out how to use Poser 7. Compared to Poser 4 it is a monster by first appearance. Then I can move on to the finer stuff. Don't forget Wolf my brain is not as sharp as yours so learning new stuff is not my strong suit.  :(
