Note that there are literally two simultaneous active threads on this topic. We can't start a third.

This is also a topic that is asked several times every month. But we've never had two going at once before.

Did you know that you can sort the forum thread list so it shows active threads first - it is the best way to keep an eye on what are the hot topics.

It's kind of bothersome when somebody starts a new thread about a current hot topic, just so you know.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Well i am so sorry that i started a thread that apparently was allready in motion...which i was not aware of at all...

all i want is an answer to my question, which i still dont have...

can somebody please provide me with a straightforward answer as to how to solve this Poser installing issue.

Thanks.

All Hail the RO Wiki!

Stuff like this and other neverending repeating questions need to go there ;o). Then we can just endlessly refer ppl to the wiki...lol.

To the OP: we really try not to be insensitive to ppl that are new to Poser, but there are about 5-10 questions that seem to get asked ad nauseum ;o). How to install Daz content is one of them.

Would I be out of line to take this opportunity to once again state how utterly ridiculous I think the DAZ installers are?

...

Medzinatar ( ) posted Sat, 30 October 2010 at 4:14 PM

Again, not trying to be insensitive, but if you buy a product from vendor and there is difficulty, maybe that vendor should be the one you ask.

There is a forum at DAZ also (but maybe we are nicer here).

really guys?? Sheedee asked a question.  Would you like to be treated this way when you were new?

Sheedee, the link MagnusGreel provided should help. If not, there are related threads floating around the top of the forum. Also, you can contact daz3d.com.

Just to save us all some time (and aggravation), I'm going to keep track of ALL the most-asked questions (the same ones that get asked every week) and put them on the wiki with their respective solutions. From then on in, my standard answer to that particular set of questions will be the wiki link.

It's not that anyone really wants to be mean. It's that everyone's tired of answering the same things over and over again to the nth degree.

#1 for the list: How to use a Daz installer with Poser Pro.

Anyone who can think of any more, please sitemail me and I'll add it to my list.

edit: I found a page that's been set up, but not filled out as of yet. It is here. I'll start populating it when I have the time.

Ok, I've added that first question to the wiki page. If you don't think it's descriptive enough, I've omitted a step or you think you can explain things better, feel free to change it. Also feel free to add any other frequently asked questions as you please.

To the mods: I feel for the sake of sanity, this particular wiki page should have a prominent place somewhere in the Poser forum so that it's hard to miss ;o).

I understand Laurie. Thing is, other members that do not come here often don't understand your aggravation and see it as being rude. We want to be able to help anyone. :) That sounds like a great idea. Also, I can talk with the staff and see if we can put together the most asked questions in the forum.

lol Done Laurie. Still can be missed though. Like I said in my last post. I'm going to talk with the staff and see what we can do. :)

Laurie it works! Links on this page to the other topics might be a good idea.
