i wonder, is there a way to let a figure look directly into the camera, and keep the eyes looking into the camera while it is moving?

Use the Point At option in the Object menu. Ensure that the eyes endpoint is in line with the eyes and not sticking straight up or else you'll get the wrong effect. If required you can adjust the end point using the joint editor.

Select an eye, Object menu, Point at, select required camera. Repeat for other eye.

Humans are very sensitive to where someone else's eyes are pointing, and close enough isn't good enough. In my experience, Poser only seems able to manage close enough when using the point at the camera method.

I introduce a prop into the scene - the ball, usually - and point the eyes at that. Then I bring the prop forwards and place it so that it obscures my view of the figure's eyes from the viewpoint of the camera I want to use. The prop needs to be made invisible before rendering, obviously. Semidieu has a freebie Python script, at RDNA I think, that will create a prop and point the selected figure's eyes at it.

Even that doesn't always work properly, but at least you then have the option of moving the prop to get the exact gaze you want, and it's a lot more precise than trying to pose the eyes themselves.
