Subject: Doctor's Smock and Props

Basis3D ( ) posted Sun, 31 October 2010 at 1:47 PM · edited Sun, 24 November 2024 at 6:29 PM

Looked in all of the usual places but can't find a simple doctor's smock uniform for Michael. Ideally would like to find one for M4. Would also be nice to find the usual smock props like pens in a pocket protector, ID badge, stethoscope, etcetera.

Funny how such an obvious piece of clothing for Michael is so difficult to find.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for pointing out that Content Paradise has a doctor's smock and props.

If I can't find anything better then I might get it but it looks extremely low poly. My M4 characters are very realistic and putting the G2 smock on Michael will be like making him wear a plastic raincoat.

:-)

I can't figure out which of the three G2 Medical Clothing packs I would buy though.

There's one for the Male Doctor at $14.99, one for the Female Nurse at $14.99 and one that's called "G2 Bundle" for $12.99 with absolutely no explanation as to what's in the "bundle." I'd assume that both the Male Doctor and the Female Nurse are in the "bundle" but then why would it be $2 less than the other two clothing packs? Weird.

Thanks again for the tip.

I think that the bundle does have both the male and female packs. If I recall, some of the Smith Micro "costume" clothing bundles were on sale for Halloween--could it be that the bundle is on sale but the individual packs aren't?

Zippo has a doctor's head mirror and perhaps some other props that might be useful. I think he may have a name badge as well:

Virtuality Show had a very nice stethoscope. The site is no longer active, but you can get it through the Wayback Machine. I think the downloads worked the last time I checked:

I love my G2 people. I haven't used the women lately (I need to dig up a good skin for Sydney), but I use the men almost exclusively when I need male characters. Now I just need to buy Wardrobe Wizard so I can convert more clothes for them...

Philc had some free labcoats, and I think trekkiegrrl had a syringe and maybe a stethoscope.

Thanks for all of the response, everyone. It's pointed me in a couple of directions I hadn't gone before.

I was wondering, is there a really nice well-made high-poly shirt jacket that's very similar to the smock in the attached photo? I might be able to modify the textures to make it appear like the smock in this photo, or maybe just add the pockets and stuff later in Photoshop.

Thanks, again.
