Subject: Can You Play A Video Clip On An Object In Vue?

Hello.

I was wondering if there is a way to attach a movie file like a .wmv, avi, or .mov to an object in vue similar to the way you can attach a picture to an alpha plane.  What I would like to do is to have a small video clip play inside of a 3d object such as a television screen within a vue movie scene I am creating. For example, I may animate the main camera to enter a room, pan around and on a table is a flat screen tv showing a video clip that would have been imported and applied to the 3d flat screen object. If not then any ideas how something like this could be done? I've heard Adobe After Effecs can do a lot of things but I don't know too much about that product yet.

Yes, it can be done in the function editor. In the texture map dropdown list, choose animation map and load the avi.

Hello Bruno21.

That sounds very promising.  I'll check it out and see how it goes. Thanks for the tip!
