Wondering if I'm missing a basic M4 texture. The 2 that were installed with Michael are:

!All_Mapless

!Body_BoxerBriefs

Isn't there a basic texture for when I don't want to see the boxer briefs? For example, when I'm using a pair of Speedos or Sickle's underwear?

Or does DAZ expect us to use a body texture from an add-on character in that case?

To be blunt, I wouldn't use the basic hires M4 skin texture for full body nudity.  The torso texture does not match the hip texture which replaces the boxer briefs.  You would be better off using a different character skin texture, at least the skin tone will match from head to toe.

With M4 DAZ supplied a set of sample textures (very low res), you do get a full nude texture & bump as well as the boxer textures, they just didn't supply a preset to use them.

You'll need to manually apply them in the material room.

It matches fine for me.

I looked for a full body texture in the mat room but couldn't find it. Have any idea what the name is?

I might not mind it being low res or even not matching exactly if it was only used when Mike is far from the camera, like wearing Speedos and standing in the distance on the beach. That kind of thing. Wouldn't be something I'd use very often.

In any event, it seems kind of foolish for DAZ to have given us the basic M4 wearing boxer shorts. Should have been briefs IMHO.

It took me ages before I started looking at what was in the texture folder.

First they are here RuntimeTexturesDAZCharactersMilManM4 and the one I use is

M4smpl_malebody.jpg.

You still need genitals which come with the morphs package.  From maleposerotica you can get the free Hirogens which work fine or you can look at Satanicas or other at renderotica. 

Color matching isnt that hard because well, they dont match skin color anyway, do they ?

Thanks very much, markschum. A couple of messages earlier, I was kindly directed to the member's website to download a freebie MAT that automatically accomplishes the task very nicely. But thanks for letting me know the name of the file and the tip about the free gens which I've downloaded even though I do have the M4 gens.

Initially my question wasn't really about getting the full nude texture in order to use the gens. I just thought it was weird that it seemed impossible to show any skin in the boxer shorts area to be able to use, for example, a pair of Speedos on Mike. I don't remember seeing anything in the M4 documentation saying how to find and use the full body texture.

Thank heavens for the good people here on Renderosity or I'd probably never know. Asked in the Platinum forum on DAZ and didn't get this much great help!

It's not necessary.  "Genitals" isn't considered foul language.  Thanks though.  :)

A pose file would be a nice help, certainly quicker than working through the material room.  It does seem odd that Daz did not provide a preset pose for it , but Daz seems a bit odd about nudity in general.
