Hi...

I'm looking for a bay window basically (open/close)......with a window seat possibly...

different door furniture ( handles, knobs)

Curtains that can be opened, closed and drawn back or gathered.

any chance?

Am I asking too much ? :)

So a section of a room with bay window, walls, floor and the curtains ? hmmm

I think all the pieces are available but putting it together might be a pain. I will have a look at this myself .

The floor is not vital for me.....and I have yet to come across a bay window

(I have plain flat windows all not very good)

that  can be opened, I prefer open out than in, or both ;)

It needs to look good on close up renders.

I dont think I've seen a window seat and that would be perfect. :))

ok, is this the sort of thing you are after ?

I need to rebuild it now I have seen where the problems are :)

Its not uv mapped so textures are just colors in Poser.

Note any changes desired please. This version has an outside too.

ok, I have finished what I can , heres a pic .

If you canuse it please pm me with an email address I can send the zip.

Y-rotate opens the windows, z-rotate moves the handles, material zones so it can be textured and partially uv mapped.( seat, ceiling, interior wall  and frame are mapped)

there is no floor , you can position your floor to whatever height suits you.  I made the wall a bit large.

I started building something, but it looks like you have it covered already.   I'd like to see your render when done if you don't mind.

Thanks.

This is a quick plain render....I'm having problems

as its not UV mapped and I have no idea how to do it...I gotta learn!

Not that I'm that bothered as I only want plain glossy frames not wood

textures. I might later...as I wanted the window for a Christmas

scene I have in mind.

Something about it doesn't look right...any idea?

I nabbed the curtains from DAZ dream House room...

I'd like some morphing curtains like that...I had to squish and stretch

those to get them to partially fit...lol

Gosh, I don't know.  The "walls" inside the bay window aren't the same color as the main walls, but otherwise I think markschum did a great job. I like those curtains too.  I tried modeling curtains. Its not all that easy.

Here is a link to what I made. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2133108

I have a house next door with a bay window , so I just asked to peek at it. Then took some reference photos.  I suspect some shadow -texture problems in the corners but it doesnt seem that bad in my test render.  The interior wall zone is the big wall room , is uv mapped but for reasons unknown doesnt take a mapped texture.

I may have more time this weekend to look at it again .

@gmartini42, thats really good. I would call that a modern version of a bay window, mine is a much older type. I didnt even try modelling curtains, I never get them to look right :)

What you have done is great Mark and I am very grateful......

looks just like the bay in my friends house.  :)

I'm talking about what I have done,  I've coloured something or other wrong

and now it doesn't look right to me. Now I think so even more

as gmartini43 says the "walls inside the bay aren't the same colour

as the main walls" I'm not sure what that refers too... lol

Thanks for the link gmartini..off to have a looksee
