Subject: Prop Deleter

Does anyone know if they make a script to delete several props at the same time within Poser 8 or Poser Pro 2010?  I have a scene set up with several props and deleting each one at a time is frustrating.  Thanks.

Deleting several props is quick and easy if you use the Hierarchy Editor. 😄

Geep

Thanks for the info.  I tried it with the editor and I still can't delete the props.  I have something like over 50 props and need to delete them.  I know I'm doing something wrong.

There are several deletion scripts. There should be at least one in freestuff under Poser utilities.

Hmmm, works for me ... I just hilight the prop in the HE and hit the "Delete" key.

Don't know why it doesn't work for you.  Sorry.

cheers, (anyway) 😄

That gets quite tedious when deleting more than 2 or 3 props.

Tedious? ... It took me ~1 1/2 minutes to delete 50 box props. 😄

If you want tedious, try rigging a complex figure.

This is what you want!

Check out some of his other free scripts - they're very good.

You know there should be a way to AUTO collapse the 'chains' in the Hierarchy Editor for things like Figures. This WOULD in fact cut down on the amount of time one has to scroll through the Editor.

However unchecking Show Figures would work just as well since it would only show the props unfortunately it doesn't seem to account for Smart Props.

Deleting props in the Hierarchy is easy, yes. Heck, you don't even need the Hierarchy Editor. just select the prop in the Preview window and hit Delete. (Shift-delete if you don't want the Confirm Delete dialog)

But you can only do one at a time, and the OP wants to delete a bunch at once. It's a shame we need to find a script to do this. Hopefully P9 will allow mutliple selection.

I concur.  That A3D delete script is a huge time saver.

D'oh! Why do things that happen to stupid people keep happening to me?
