hi all, here's a VC idea i had : - take a picture of some unusual but real place. - you have one month to make a vue render as close as possible to the picture. maybe it has already been done but if not , i think it could be a good exercise. jp

I think its a great idea but how about we all use the same phot as reference and then see what diif styles we all come up with

sure , it is just an idea to develop on...

There was a similar one, to try to reproduce clouds shown in a photo. That seemed to be a tough one and only a couple folks attempted it. If we can find a good (copyright-free) photo to work from that wouldn't be too difficult yet still be challenging, I'll bet it could be worked in some month. Gotta wait for things to settle down for Mike, because I'm not sure anymore how he's planning to work the VC and the Theme Sub-challenge. :)

I'm just waiting until the vote deadline, to see who gets to choose the next one. Clearly if we're going to be adding voting and having the winner choose the next VC, the run time of the challenges will have to be either staggered, or shortened. We'll see what happens. ;) That is a good idea, really, but we have to allow the winer to set the next challenge. Maybe he/she will see this and take the cue. :)

So what's happening with the Theme challenge then? It's not going to continue? LOL, I missed a memo somewhere. :D
