...and if you don't get quite the satisfaction with either of these that you've hoped for, this WILL work!
You import the clothing item obj into Blender and re-shape to fit your target figure perfectly, then import the obj into Poser and make it into a conforming cloth with PhilC's Obj2Cr2. It's like you just made your own special version.
Oh!, and then, you get a copy of Dimension3D's Morph Clothes, and you make your clothing item into that exactly right outfit for your special character.
Just some options to consider...

The only problem with the above is that Mike 4's legs are so darn close together that it's hard to use OBJCR2 or anything to get clothing to fit him right. So I've always relied on XDresser. :(

Phil has an excellent solution of getting that to work right... the tute is on his site.

I've used XDresser in the past to convert clothing from various figures to fit Michael 4. For the most part it has worked well, however, there are a few glitches I've experienced. Sometimes certain areas of clothing do funny things. I'm wondering if there are better programs out there to convert clothing from one figure to the next. I think there is another program out there called Wardrobe Wizard IIRC. Has anyone used it? Does it work better than XDresser or is it about the same? Can someone recommend what the best program would be for converting clothing from various Poser figures to fit other figures?
Many thanks!
