Every time I try to load the dialog box shows:What do I need to do to load it properly? I am using a Mac.

Thanks,

Is it a Bryce file?

No they are lwo. files. Can I convert them?

Well I just used Blender to convert to obj. files so I should be ok. I just figuered that bryce could import type.

I’m using Bryce 5.5 and it doesn’t import vob file extensions so you need to export from Vue using the obj format and output the tex maps along with it. Then Bryce will open the object together with its tex maps. I don’t know if Bryce 7 can handle the vob format. Vue can also decimate the object into individual objects and these can be exported separately but often after splitting you get mixed objects from different buildings so what I do is import the exported Vue obj file into another package like 3DSM to break up the objects into sub-objects I can use.

That's because the .LWO is .LWO2, which Bryce didn't read until b7.1.0.44 and there's still some problems with certain .LWO2 files.  MacPro/10.6.5.

Sorry, I didn’t know until now that Dystopia is a standalone set. I thought you were referring to the Vue Dystopia city blocks that comes bundled with it.

Attached Link: PoseRay

I used PoseRay, which I've mentioned before, to convert them to both .3ds and .obj...I think the .3ds worked best in my tests.PoseRay can be got for free at the posted link

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

I use bryce 5, and it's just to import the 3ds file. They have a few free dystopia blocks in that format at DAZ3D. They will appear somewhat flat looking, but you can tweak ambience and other things in the material editor.

Thanks Bobby for the link, will check it out!

I use Bryce 6 for a lot of importing into Bryce, the bridge to DazStudio seems more stable than Bryce 7.I open Bryce, click on the Daz logo at top to enter DazStudio, load the cityblock(s),click return to Bryce in menu and the object loads in Bryce. The materials need tweaking, but other than that it works fine...you could also save as an obj. in DazStudio(with Daz Settings chosen) and import into Bryce that way.
