Subject: Float In Window......CS5 question

thefixer ( ) posted Thu, 16 December 2010 at 11:43 AM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 10:27 PM

I like to work with my images "floating" in the main window.. I currently have to do this every time I open an image or do something else that makes it go off.

Is there a way to permanently fix the "float in window" option, I can't see anything under the preferences...

TIA..!!

I know with CS4 you go to Preferences > Interface > uncheck "Open Documents as Tabs". You can also uncheck "Enable Floating Document Window Docking". This will prevent it from accidentally docking if you move document to top.

You're welcome. It's easy to miss with all the Preferences. I guess CS5 has approximately the same Preferences.

I was very glad to find this in preferences too - I missed the 1st couple of time I looked as well!!!  Glad to have it fixed - I like to have all the images separate.  Some prefer the tabs but I find the pics too hidden like that - each to their own I guess....
