meh...I almost never go to the front page of the store, it's usually to the What's Hot section I go first. It should be interesting to see how fast Alice moves up to the first spot on What's Hot. Aery Soul has certainly set an example for anyone aspiring to be a vendor. They are like the Led Zeppelin of the Poser market. Except, perhaps now, the song is almost over.
I'll be getting this one, that is for sure. I've missed out the past few times, and whilst the objections might have some validity, I still think There's Something About Alice that invites a purchase and a lookie-loo :biggrin: ...and at a decent price, too...

There is a special story behind Alice. I rememember Aery_Soul mentioning that they were retiring the character due to personal reasons. I don't know the specifics, but it sounds like the character was made in memory of someone very special to them.
There was a huge outcry from people who had wanted to get Alice, but missed out prior to her being pulled. So now they release the character once a year for a very short period of time and then remove her again.
I see nothing wrong with that.

Neither do I, Linda... actually, I sort-of like their capricious approach to selling products. It's a bit foot-loose. They do what they want to.

I don't care to do business with people that woun't sell me what I want 99% of the time.
There are a lot of very talented CGI Artist in the Market place, Don't think aery soul is no better then any one else.

Alice is an amazing, though demanding character that encapsulates all that is Aery Soul. No make no mistake, there are many fantastic vendors here at Rendo, Aery Soul just happen to be among the some of the more distinctive. In my humble opinion.
And they know how to market their stuff, you got to give it to them,
No, there's nothing wrong with the practice, (wrong being defined as RO Marketplace Rules,) but I know if I provide minor updates to my product I don't get to the front of the Marketplace, only because I don't have the clever foresight to remove my product from the market for a while.
The process is the same for Disney Animated Classic releases.
I do think the practice warrants some sarcastic commentary.
I recognize the product is quality.

Bought some AS stuf in the past. Good quality. Ain't bought Alice but maybe one day.

I never use alice's face at 1.0, but if you look through my gallery, I have used her at least some (usually .5 or .6). The skin texture has a lot of options.
Aery Soul put a ton of work into her and it shows. I think they only release her once a year as an anniversy and I think she's really special to them.

I've been wondering if Alice would be up for sale again. But I've spent my Poser budget for this month, so I'll have to hope she's still available in a fortnight.
