Subject: Ultra Set2 Head morphs... and eyebrows...

I know this forum is about Poser, but Daz Studio (DS) hardly has any attention so I'm posting here.  I have Poser6, but I'm working on my character creation through DS (except when I create Poser mats).  But in this situation, it doesn't matter whether it's Poser or DS.

My question, for the more advanced users, deals with custom head morphs.

Ok, first, to explain the reason I need to ask this question, is 'cause I like to give my characters eyebrow options.  Thankfully Sabrina Blinker (still waiting for Rendo to test but haven't heard anything) had her eyebrows nice and tightly fit even though the eyebrow "morph" I hand created in earlier process didn't work.

But this time, I really played with Ultra Head Morph Set2 on the eyebrow options on a new character.  What I did was spawned the head morph (no V4 morph++ included of course) and then made the INJ/REM files through DS and a free "InjRemExport" script... which of course, worked.  Then I went through the Delta and Unhide files with my script writer and copied the "actor Head" lines and renamed them to "actor eyeBrow", which it does inject the morph into the eyebrow but the morphs don't work.  I can see it in the Injection Channels/community dial, but there's no change in the morph.  I double checked the delta script file and saw that I did everything right.

Apparently the eyebrow won't recieve the head morph (little advance there), so I'm wondering, does anyone know if it's possible to get this morph to work in the eyebrows?  Is it even possible to get any morph in the eyebrows or did Daz lock the eyebrows from being able to? lol.

I do have Poser 6, but I highly doubt there will be a difference.  I don't know how to create INJ/REM files in that program, nor have I ever even loaded Ultra Head 2 there.

If you know how to get eyebrows to recieve morphs, please, I do need to know.  But if I don't find the answer to this, then I can't have separate eyebrow mat options for this new character.

Thanks in advance!

Hmm, no replies so no one knows?  Maybe it's impossible?

Regarding the V4 eyebrows, in the default state the eyeBrow actor is not locked. The rotate channels have the limits forced to zero, but not the translate channels. All the transform channels are hidden. Morphs work OK on the eyeBrow!

By default the eyeBrow actor is set invisible in its Properties("off" in Poser script). Make sure the Visible switch has a tick in its box.

P.S.
The default V4.2 does not contain any PBMCC or PBMDC channels in the eyeBrow. So if you need to inject morphs, you will need to use some technique that can create morph channels. PMD files are one option, another is DAZ ExP technology, there is also a py script by Cage that can cerate blank morph channels.

Already know about the eyebrow being invisible in both DS and Poser, and already know how to turn them on.  In fact, my Tindra Thompson product has an "on/off" option for the brows.  Already know how to unhide dials in Poser, and how to move them around.  Had to specifically move them in certain positions in my upcoming product for each age, so that they fit tightly in both programs, and have "eyebrow/eye fix" pose files for them.

As for the channels, the eyebrows, in fact, do have them.  First, when I copied over the custom head morphs, it showed up in the channel (Injection Channels/Community), but no change in the eyebrow morph.

Second, I looked through files in the libraries/!DAZ/Victoria 4/eyeBrow folder and found "06-ps_pe069inj_Chnnls.pz2" & "06-ps_pe069inj_Grps.pz2", which specifically lists the Injection Channels, along with all the other files listing add on morphs.

Thanks for trying, lesbentley :)

Yes you are correct, sorry. There are morph channels for the brows. I was looking in the wrong figure.

Don't know why you can't load the morph then. I tried spawning a morph from a Mag on the eyeBrows, and that works OK, so there is no reason in principle why morphs won't work on the eyeBrows, they do!

That's ok, figured you made a mistake somewhere.  That does give me an idea though, maybe after I finish the head morph, I'll go back and use the deformers (in Poser language, it's magnets) and shape them as best as I can.  I don't have the all expensive face shop to play with them lol. ...wolfie
