Subject: OT: RSS for rendo forums?

Hi all,

Is there the possibility of having an RSS feed on the rendo forums?

Thanks!

Not sure I really understand RSS... does this mean you can load just the thread and not all the other stuff (like ads and header) around it, like on an iPhone or something?

In this case I'd expect a feed (if one were to be created) to list just the topic titles for those threads with new posts with a link to the thread (Rendo could of course intersperse banner-like ads etc. as is done by some feedreader sites).

Not sure what is required but post this in the Suggestion Box forum and see what's said.

Ditto. I use Mozilla/Firefox and tried getting it to work, but for some reason it won't.

Well, here's the depth of my lack of understanding, Acadia. I sort-of thought it would be something that would allow Rendo users to access the forums like Facebook users access FB, via an app.

Okay, you can all stop laughing now... :blushing:

There is no way to get a feed other than persuading Rendo to create one.

I was referring to the RSS feeds that are already here.  I can't get them to work for me using the latest version of Mozilla/Firefox. When I try, Windows Media Player opens.

And another

However, apparently it works on my Compaq Mini with Firefox. shrugs  I don't recall trying that,  LOL

I have no idea if these work or how well they would work with the forum list but perhaps worth a try - creating feeds from web pages:

I suspect that those won't work as you need to be logged in to read the forums, and even if they do, the content of the feed is likely to be suboptimal compared to what a proper custom created feed would have.
