Terrain props are always useful. Some are hard for the digitally challenged, such as: *Roads: including those on a side of a hill/cliff, a cut through a hill and one on a fill, hairpins curves, etc. Railroad embankments in a similiar fashion. *Water: wakes and waves; whirls, and white water, etc These could also be distributed as relief maps for use in Vue or Bryce.

You could try a happy medium. Map the terrain both ways (Planar and Tiled), and then release it as a planar prop with the UV information from UVmapper included in the package for the tiled version. If someone wants the tiled version, all they need to do is apply the UV information to the OBJ files. It may seem like extra work, but a tiled version might be a godsend to those folks whose systems are memory or processor challenged.

I'm working on a Terrain prop for poser that will have over 50 morphs. I cant deside how to UV map it though. I could use some input. Do you think it would be best just to map it from the top- texture would have to be huge if you wanted alot of detail. Or i could tile it - but you wouldnt have total control over it then. I'll post images soon.
