It's the logo for the "creature feature / mythical beast" contest - LOL.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Yep, I noticed that, too. Appropriate, since the model looks like an alien. :)

I put Jessi up on our company website one time and the boss told me to take her down because she looked too angry...

I dunno about "angry".  She just looks manky.

How strange, I went looking for this article from the CGSociety main page and it's not listed there.  I don't doubt it was of course, but I wonder if they took it down when they realized what it was.  The DAZ marketing blurb is still there on page 3 of the main listing.

edit: ah there it is on the main page (must have missed it), odd that it's not on all views of feature stories though.

It's still there. You probably did what I usually do and go the CGSociety forums main page, but the actual CGSociety main page is http://www.cgsociety.org/, where you will see the even more alien-looking than usual P6Jessi in one of the thumbnails at the top of the page.

That makes 2 images that I've seen where she doesn't look like an alien.  Very nice morph.

YAY FOR POSER!!!

Okay, I apologize for the shouting, but I had to get that out 😄

Is it bad that I actually kind of like the way Jessi looks? Not an ordinary human in the least, but I don't mind how she looks. I removed the dark circles from under her eyes on her face texture in Photoshop once, and it looked much better. I wish I was tolerable at making skin textures so I could make her a better one...

No. Not bad at all! :)  That's the nice thing about Poser, there is a figure out there for everyone to use.  My favourite figure is  V3 followed by A3.  My least favourite is SP3 because of her gargantuan head.

I've never used the figures that come with Poser other than to do challenges and such. But I don't typically render with them.

If your boss thinks Jessi looks too angry don't show him Sidney...

I think Poser 6 Jessi is a great figure. Shes underused, but a great figure.
