Subject: Problem with superconforming cloths help please

rowlando ( ) posted Mon, 03 January 2011 at 8:46 PM · edited Thu, 14 November 2024 at 8:58 PM

Hi I am having some troubles with getting this process correct.

I have dimension3d morphing cloths program but for some reason I am not getting the superconforming to work.

I put the morphs in the v4 cloth I ensure cross talk is checked and save product as new item.

But when I load the item onto v4 and conform it, it dose not automatically fit the shape of V4.

Any help please?

There's not really anything you can do wrong there, it's just one checkbox "enable crosstalk".  Leave the others unchecked.  Works for me 100% of the time and has since I started using it.

If this is problematic, you can also copy V4's morphs and paste them into your conforming clothes.

Can you post a simple screen capture please.

I have one V4 Elite Morph that doesn't seem to want to go into the clothes using Morphing Clothes.

I would like to try a Cut&Paste.

Thanks

While I don't have the Elite set, I did have a weird little problem with The Girl 4 body morph screwing up several others when converting all morphs in one pass; what I did was set up a separate reference CR2 with only Girl 4 morph, and one with everything else, and that works.  Might try the same thing with your Elite problem.

I have only recently installed the Elite set into my runtime, but haven't explored it's full potential just yet.  However, mariner, if you translate morphs into your clothing using morph clothes and it doesn't cooperate by conforming, simply select your model, go to Edit in the taskbar menu, and select Copy.  Select your clothing, go back to Edit, and click on Paste.  In most cases, that works like a charm.

Hi All

Well I finally got it working right. I have been able to make all my stuff for V3 supercomforming.

The best thing about supercomforming is the lack of dial moving you need to do in order to make items fit.

I have one question though for those in the know.

Concerning the adjustment if possible when a conformed Tshirt is on V3 or V4 and you need to not have it so tight on the chest how is this done??

Thanks Rowlando

Usually you can change the dial on the Body of the conformed clothing piece and be able to adjust the value of the morph in the clothing; sounds like the one you want is Bulk, that mostly inflates smoothly in all directions.

Hi Pjz99

Thanks for your help, I have resolved most of my issues good learning curve for me anyway.

Can you give me more concerning your last post re how I would get the material on the cleavage area to inflate. I understand to use the bulk dial but just want the cleavage area only to inflate etc

Thanks Rowlando

Not sure how making things super-conforming affects the morphing brush... because of poke-through, I ended up all too frequently with characters flaunting huge boobs and bums, not a good look if that's not what you're after. What I tend to do now is dial in until there's a fair bit of pokethrough, then draw out the cloth with the morphing brush. Much nicer look, overall.

But those superconforming thingies... would that affect the morphing brush any?

RobynsVeil thank you thats what I was looking for what you said, I did not know that using the morphing brush was the answer I will give this a go.

Can you tell me how this effects poseing once I have set up the cloth with the morphing brush or dose the change remain in the cloth?

thanks Rowlando

Well, I've changed a pose or two after invoking the morphing brush and the result wasn't bad: no new poke-through. However, YMMV.

Morphing brush is a bit of a weird animal: don't use Pull with the given settings. Dial down the second value (intensity? strength?) from .2 to .02... and give it time.

I use the python script "Add Deformers" to copy over my morphing brush changes.  Can't remember where it came from, maybe D3D.  It usually works pretty well.  Not sure if this is what you were getting at, but it has helped me.

Hi 232bird

Yes your right I want to save the changes from the brush once done, the add deformers script might be good, unless just saving to the poser library would also save the changes

Thanks RobynsVeil

I will take care and dial slowly etc

Be aware that once you set up superconforming morphs in a conformer, if you then re-save the figure to the library, this will break the "superconforming" behavior when you load the new version.  Always do superconforming morphs as a final step.  If you make some morphs with the morph brush in a conformer in the current scene, you can save and load the scene and the morphs will all work OK, but if you want to want to keep them permanently you have to do some tricky stuff (maybe the script 232bird mentions, for example).

Oops - didn't communicate that very well... I meant to *type in .02 and then the brush will move the vertices slowly, which is a good thing. You'll see the material emerge out of the skin bit by bit. 2 things to remember: 1. start morph brush action with the main highlight area (red zone) over cloth material that is visible and 2. hold down the SHIFT key when you work the brush.

OK Got it

I save the sean and this will keep the changes I make to the clothing, this is perhaps the best method without a script such as mentioned by 232bird

thanks all Rowlando

Hi All

Just thought I should add this the post.

I have found that once I have made the cloth superconforming using dimension3d morphing cloths the problem left was being able to make adjustments on the breast cleavage area for the cloth as it was too tight fitting.

Solution A product by Kaposer called Easy breast v4 and using a tool called the fixer.

The fixer tool allows you to control the breast cleavage area really well and cause the cloth to fit nicely and its easy to use.

I thought the product info is good and has been very helpful to me.

Thanks Rowlando
