It's called repetative strain injury. It happens when you repeatedly do the same thing over and over and over again. It's a work hazard. You don't need to go to the ER for it.
Just make sure you do exercises and stretches.
Here is a link to how to exercise/stretch your hands.

"It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi

I was pulling staples and turning over papers quickly. this was months ago.i remmber feeling a tiny pain but now months later i have bad pain in the thumb joint when i do the same kind of work and when i type it hurts.
The thumb works and i can bend it. It doesn't hurt as much when i'm out of work and just moving my hands gently. I mostly get the pain badly when i go through ppapers(pulling, moving, flipping through, grasping, etc) at work and when i type( even though i dont use that thumb(left ) ).
what treatments can i have to help me? And what can i do being that this is the kind of work i have and i can't stop it cause else i would be layed off.
I think this happened at work, like i said months ago, but since i didn't think it would be this bad..i never told the boss.
I dont have insurance by the way. WIll probably have soon when they hire me(these people haven't hired me in 1 year plus...they keep saying they will and keep me as a TEMP worker) and when they hire me they will change my job to computer stuf...but computer stuff also hurts, like i explained above
