I went out today A bought Bryce 5 upgrade,When I enter the # that came with it its fine, but when I enter the Bryce 4 serial #,it say's it is an invalid serial #.I tried to call Corel and of course they are closed. The Bryce 4 I have is an legit full version,I don't know why bryce5 say's it is not A valid #.I will call Corel Monday, but I was just wondering If any bodyelse had any problems?

Never mind,I did A search on this topic and seems that only serial numbers from Corel version work-I bought my Bryce4 when it was still Metacreations. It sucks spending 150 bucks for software that you bring home and can't use.

I think if you apply the Corel update patch,it might work. I bought mine from Meta also and applied all the patches and had no trouble upgrading.

DigitalDream, I had the Corel patch installed, after reading your reply,I reinstalled it and it still say's my Bryce4 Sn is invalid. I'll have to call them tommorow, they should be able to give me A new sn that will work. Thanks for youir reply, David

It rejected my Bryce 4 serial number during the installation process. Told me it was invalid. I called the Customer Service number on the back of the card (I think that's where it was.) Saturday afternoon. They asked if I had registered Bryce 4 with either them or Metacreations. I had. Then they asked for my name and a couple other questions and found me in their database. Then they asked for my Bryce 5 serial number, and registered it. Then they gave me a new serial number. I had to enter this number in place of the Bryce 5 serial number. This number also made it bypass the request for the Bryce 4 serial number. And I was up and running.

I called them today and all they asked for was my Bryce 4 serial #.That was it,they didn,t get my name or ask if it was registered or not.And they give me A new # and it worked like A charm.
