Subject: Rendered PNG image cropping?

mouser ( ) posted Wed, 19 January 2011 at 11:38 PM · edited Mon, 27 January 2025 at 5:04 AM

Hi, just wondering if anyone has run into this issue.

Images I have rendered and saved as PNG files are sometimes having the lower half blank (white).

Sometimes imediatly after export or sometime afterwards (seems random).

I am currently saving a copy of my images to JPG format as a temp solution.

Anyone have any idea whats wrong with the PNG format?

I had similar problem long time ago (with p7 and png) - like yours, mine were saved half green half fine - never fixed that. It just disappeared with time.

I save in jpg, but it looks like the compression of jpg make some noice even the setting was 100, then I have to save in bmp, and change by other softwares.😄

not seen that problem myself but you could save the image as a tif file and then select alpha channel when in your image editor, copy paste that into another window as your png, you have the tif as a backup that is easy to extract the png from
