Subject: Wishlist Error

Anniebel ( ) posted Wed, 26 January 2011 at 1:50 AM · edited Sun, 22 December 2024 at 7:41 PM

I just added Amaltheia Hair to my wishlist, after thinking about it I decided I thought I already had this product, so checked my account history & I had purchased it before.

So there seems to be a wishlist error, there is no notification that you have purchased the item before like there used to be.

I checked my cart, you still get the error message there, but not on the wishlist.

Lots of bugs since they introduced this new site, I hope things get sorted soon.

Hi Anniebel,

We do not have a "new" site. We have made some updates and upgrades as any other website has wich is a positive thing.

I assure you that it is not a bug as it has always been this way. Once the techs explained it to me, I understand why it is this way and it makes perfect sense.

Alot of members use their wishlist as a "bookmark" so they have an easy reference for the products they like. They may want to put an item in their wishlist that they  previously purchased for themselves but now want to purchase as a gift for someone else because they think someone else would like it as much as they did. If it gave an error when trying to put items in the wishlist, they would not be able to do that.

It has to be issued as a "gift" before adding it to their cart or the system will give the error it gave you.

As long as the system is not letting anyone go through the checkout paying for the same item twice, the system is doing it's job.

I hope this clears things up for you a little bit.

Have a nice day!

It definitely has not alway been this way, I have had the error message for the wishlist numerous times before, because I rarely put things straight in my cart from the store.

And picking me up on "new site" is petty semantics, ok a huge number of new features implemented at more or less the same time!

It is ok I really don't think I will bother letting anyone know about store/site problems any more, it is not worth the aggravation.
