A good Vue starter, for those who thought about it but never jumped in :)

I do use Vue, but I have the Complete version.  Vue ships in a number of different verions, Frontier being the first.  Vue is a bit wierd really, you most of the functionality comes from buying either plug ins, or the next version up.  The different versions are basically Vue Frontier with more plugins.

Now to the Export question, sadly you can't with Vue Frontier, but you can buy the exporter module :) then you can.

Vue is however a great renderer and does animation and all sorts of lovely things.  Oh and will import a pz3 from Poser ;)

How much do you have to fiddle with the shaders to get a Pz3 to render in Vue?

Not too much, frontier comes with SkinVue which does a great job on poser people :)

What does "OT" mean? Its all over forums.

And I think(don't quote me) that Frontier comes with a render-size limitation that can be removed with the purchase of a plugin from the Vue folks. Could be old info I'm going on though.

I export trees that I grow in Vue to other apps for render sometimes.  Like if modo needs a small plant or tree or something.  Everything else I import into Vue.

Yep sure is good for plants and such :)  Pretty easy to customise the leaves too.  Can't for the life of me remember which module that is.
