I tried (rather unsuccessfully) to do it with mags....(though I am not very proficient with mags to begin with)

is there a morph or anything that will lengthen her neck? giving her a rather lovely "swan like" neck?

Select V4's neck.

Unhide both the Y and Z scales

Set Both Y and Z to 125%

Got to Morphs++ and set neck thickness to 1

See how close that gets you to what you need.

The effect is even better if you can hide the back of the head with a hair prop. Then you don't have to set the Z scale.
