Subject: Depth of field and render time

I know depth of field adds to render time, but does the anount of blur percentage effect it or once you use depth of field is render time uneffected by percentage changes? c8Pro

No, the amount of blur does not affect render time. Ray traced DOF will significantly add to the render time if there are transparent or reflected images in the scene. Regular DOF ignores those things but doesn't have the same fidelity.
