Thanks Mario!
I had about figured it out when I came back here to see if anyone had replied. When I looked closer at the imported mesh I saw it was a group of three different components. Each component needs to be matted separately.
Then I read those links and picked up a couple good pointers ie.. put the mats in mat lab for easier loading and rendering and the little "flip" thing in IG.
Thanks, again, and onward to the project.
Questy? I edited your post as the big font size was screwing up the page.

@Bryster:
The Marzilla Browser has some text display quirks with certain font sizes. You might want to consider Interplanetary Explorer 8, as it is less buggy (except for the occasional nanite).
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

No problem, Questy.
I'm on IE7 and staying there. Quest's text size shoved half the page off-screen for me. I use a 19" CRT because of problems with my sight and the fact that I hate rendering on an LCD flat screen.

Wow, I'm on IE7 also Bryster. I was just wondering about the ups and downs...I mean why one week the font was too small for someone and the following week it's too large for someone else. Also, I use Micro$oft Word sometimes to write my replies and that is encoded text so maybe that has something to do with it as well. What I can do is cut and paste from Word to Notepad before pasting to post. Nevertheless, I don't understand the varience. My eyesight is not all that great either so I do like AnnieD does with the 125% browser font scale. Anyway, how are you and the misses doing these days?
Right now the rendo text boxes are not that brilliant.
We're good, and thanks for asking. ;-)

I did notice that when you changed his font size it made it really small for me..I would not be able to read it without having my page set at 125%.
Good to hear that you guys are doing well.

It's making me scratch my head now too. It all looks perfect to me. ;-(

OK. I re-sized it back to where it was.

It seems to me that since they changed the way the message/text boxes work things have been screwy. We've had problems with cut&paste for example or the line/pragraph spacing.

I guess I'm getting too old for this sort of thing but for the life of me I can't figure this out.
I haven't used Ivy Generator in a couple years but now I need it for a scene. I downloaded the latest version, V1.3, and unzipped it to a folder.
1. exported obj from B7pro to a folder
2. opened obj in IG
3. grew some ivy
4. exported all (object+mtl) back to a folder
5. I try to import the new obj into B7 but Bryce won't open import because it says it can't find mats so I directed it to IG folder that has textures
6. Now the ivy only appears and the mats are applied parametric and all willy-nilly.
Does anyone using B7 have Ivy Generator V1.3 willing to step me through? I'm missing something here.
PS When I "birth" the ivy within IG it is displayed as obj only with no mats. ( I can't even remember if this is normal, again I feel old)
