I've got a lot of characters, props, etc for poser, and I want to record then on a cd, but they must be on their respective folders, cause poser doesnt read them if they arent ther, I want to know, if is posible to change something in the pogram, an so it read them from the folder I Specify. thx mazo3d@hotmail.com

The only possible I know is to locate the object-files somewhere else via hand-editing of the *.cr2-files. Same goes to textures ... But I don't know a possibility to place character/props/poses/ etc ... - files somewhere else ... The only solution I know of is to have a biiiiiiig harddisc - but maybe with Poser 5 this is possible ... :o)

What I've started doing is creating a series of Runtime backups that I copy onto Zip drives. For example, if I'm working on a new project, I use the default RunTime and add into it any textures, props, etc, that I'm using for that project. If I'm working on, say, an Aj project, I replace the RunTime folder on the HD with the one I've archived with all the Aj info on it. The beauty of this is two-fold: I only have those libraries in RunTime that I'm actually using for that particular project, and I don't waste HD space when creating a new project.

Because texture files consume so much space, I've saved them to alternate directories for years. All you have to do is point to their location when poser asks for the texture file and resave the cr2 file. Nothing to it. Pinto

It is possiable to save the entire poser program and related files to a cd and run the program from it. Just one big problem..... you can't save any work you have done to the cd. You could save your work to a file on the hard drive and then work with it that way.
