Hi! I just bought the Rat from the DAZ store but even though there's supposed to be a template file included, there's none in the file. I've already contacted DAZ about this problem but since I'm in the middle of making an animation for a flash production and I'm in a hurry to make the texture, I thought that I might contact you all out there to check if you've got the template somewhere. If you could help me out I'd be grateful. Otherwise I'll have to wait for DAZ to answer and they're all out until Friday. :-( Best regards.. Jacko

Why don't you just make your own in UV Mapper? It wouldn't be labeled, but otherwise it would be identical. Oh, and I neglected to add Hi! ;-)

Thanks! I always thought that UV Mapper always remapped the imported objects and that they had to be imported once again into Poser. I've mainly worked with my own props in UV Mapper so I'm not yet familiar with it. Thanks once again.. Jacko

So how many cats are chasing that rat then. I'd say lots. Nice animation. BTW, a bump and specular map will really help bring the Rat texture to life. Texture maps alone just don't seem to cut it with small items, they just become a colour blob. I had big problems making the rat look realistic in an image I did. Still not happy with it but bumps and spec maps really helped.

My rat is going to be a bit bigger. Something like this. I just didn't want to upload a larger animated gif. /Jacko

Looking very nice already. The ones I did were Black (Dark grey) so needed the spec and bumps to show the detail.

I see what you mean... Black is a different thing. /Jacko

heyas; they're so cute! but um.. doesn't the hind leg haunch unbend at all? just wondering :)

Jacko ( ) posted Thu, 16 August 2001 at 2:18 AM

Just a little. If you're refering to the animation where the hind legs are supposed to go further back, you're absolutely right and this can be made without any trouble. I just didn't do it.. :-)
