I think it's time Renderosity started a 3D Coat forum... It's a GREAT program, full of amazing possibilities and potential.

What do we need to have one started?!?

Sure, it has it's own forum, but so does most of the software here. We have "special needs" and require particular attention.

just start your questions header with 3DCoat..  and people know its about 3dcoat

most of the non major 3dprograms are in the 3dmodeling forum, an that works fine as it is..

Ah....... I only go by forums name, never thought of that.

Still, I think it deserves it own.

I'll move this to the Suggestions Forum...we'll see about getting one set up.

What does it take to get one going?!? I'm curious...

It's just that 3D Coat would find such a "home" here, I'm surprised there wasn't a forum here already by the time I got hooked.

Here is ONE example of why "I" suspect the staff here are reluctant to start new forums so readily.

In Jan…there was a rally to have a new Sketchup forum… Post’s were made in a couple of forums…

Another plea for a Sketchup forum

On January 28th …the forum was created….25 posts were made in 3 weeks (Last post was February 19th)…then nothing.

All this after Rosity caved in to a crusade for a forum that was sure to get plenty of activity.

I personally don’t mind new forums, and this is not a "I dislike/like Sketchup or 3DCoat" post.

It’s just an illustration of only the most recent forum created…that has already gone dead. (There have been others over the years too)

Valid point actually...

I like having places and spots to get help from that are direct to what I am doing, working in or on. Asking a specific question in a general forum seems awkward, more like fishing than communicating.

Personally, I have a lot of interest in 3D Coat, and could prolly keep the forum busy myself =P

Are "you" a 3D Coat user?

Tom is correct..we really need to have alot of interest from members before we create a new forum. Not only interest, but several posts/discussions over time regarding a specific software being used is a good indicator of a new forum needing to be created.
