I recently did a reinstall of Poser and I am missing the P4 Dolphin... and I kinda need it since I already have new textures specifically made for it and don't want to do them over again.  Plus the tail is a bit longer than other models which is what I wanted it for.  I installed all content and it's just not there, what am I missing?

First off, what version of Poser do you own and what "All Content" are you referring to? If you installed all content for Poser 4, the Dolphin would be located under :Runtime:Characters:Animals:. If you installed a Poser after version 4 you would have to download and install the "Legacy" content which would contain the dolphin in it.

Not knowing what version....

For Poser 2010, look in the Poser Pro 2010 Content library under Poser 1-5Additional FiguresAnimals

sorry, Poser 7 and 8.  There is a dolphin, but it's not the P4 Dolphin, the one I have now is from a different creator.

I did insteall the Legacy content, but it seems like the decided to leave some other things out, not much that I would have missed, but just the one thing that I need

I have two dolphins in my Poser 7 and Poser 8 runtimes. The one you're talking about is the Poser 7 Dolphin. It is located in :runtime:Libraries:Characters:Poser 7:Animals: but the one you should also have and  the one you need would be located in the directory that wolfie pointed you to in :runtime:libraries:Characters:Poser 1-5:Additional Figures:Animals:

I would love to know where these textures are from that you're talking about. Did you make them yourself? Also, with your Poser 7 serial number you can download the other legacy content updaters all the way back to Poser 5 at This Page. The Poser 5 Legacy Content pack will surely have it in there.

ahh yes, I see it now in P8... for what ever reason, it didn't load up in P7, strange...

I recently required a dolphin myself and couldn't find the one that shipped with P4 (P3 version?).  I keep all my old runtimes - including the original, untouched/unedited, freshly installed versions, on an external hard disk.  Only recently re-installed and began using Poser 7 and I thought they stopped shipping the thing.

I've changed things around in the Runtime and use three or four external runtimes to hold goodies.  Never noticed all of the animals hiding under the Poser 7 Character folder.

Like Wolfie, I learned something new (or old and overlooked) today.

As far as my fresh P7 install goes, the older Poser 3 dolphin didn't ship with Poser 7.

Poser 7 has the same access to the Legacy Content link I posted as every other version of Poser after version 4. All you need is your current serial number.

My P4 dolphin came from the legacy content I am pretty sure.  I got similar content with Poser 7 too so you should have it if you downloaded the legacy files from CP.

Not sure if I downloaded that package or not.  I'd have to check.  I bought Poser 7 early on, pre-purchased I think, and then didn't care for it.  There were the regular problems with the initial release.  I went back to using Poser 6 - still my favorite version I think - but, with brand new hardware and a sale price on P7, I now have two copies of P7 installed on my two primary systems.

With the original P5(SR3) - 7 Runtimes backed up I don't think I need to fish around for the legacy package.  That was the first time in all these years I thought about using the old dolphin.

I AM going to look at the other Poser 7 animals though ...
