Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
I don't have Poser pro , but with Poser there usually is the programme download & the content download.
Did you download & install the content?

You can open the file in a text editor and find the relative path for the jessi.obj. I am not at my home computer, which has PP2010, to verify the correct information. However, you can conduct a file search for either jessi.obj or jessi.obz, the compressed version. If it finds just the obz, then you will need to uncompress this file.
BTW, in the future, state which OS you are using. Currently, Vista and Windows 7 will cause read/write problems if Poser is installed into the Program Files folder.
now I see the problem, I think.
I installed Poser Pro again and at the end I get the information, that PoserPro2010Content.exe and legacyContent.exe was not found.
I read in the manual, that I shall download PoserPro2010Content.exe and legacyContent.exe also, but it did not come with the programm I bought.
Where can I download it?
Quote - Hmmm, causes one to ponder ... where was the Poser Pro program purchased?
Precisely ... even though I bought the physical version, rather than the download, I know from looking on the SM site that it's two downloads ... the program and the content.

If this mob is a reputable reseller of Smith Micro products, they should have provided the two missing content files, as named above. I'd be contacting them.

After you get your installer-issues right and still get the same error....
The Tutorials seem to be simply wrong, probably because they were created for an older version of poser.
The poser-2010 installer creates .../Runtime/Libraries/Character/Poser 6/Jessi/...
While the tutorial-files try to load .../Runtime/Libraries/Character/Jessi/...
So there is an additional directory 'Poser 6' in the path, that the tutorials are not aware of. Therefore i would just copy the Jessi-folder on directory up in the hierarchy. The compression (jessi.obz vs jessi.obj) seems not to be a problem for poser.
My information is based on the dvd-version, however, the download-version could behave differently (but i guess it does not).
Well done, Karl!

Hi,
I have the following problem: 2 days ago, I bought Poser Pro 2010.
In the manual is this text:
Open the ClothRoomTask1.pzz file, which you will find in the
Tutorials/ClothRoom folder in your Poser installation. This
scene contains Jessi, who is placed in the default position.
But, Jessi is not there !!! The programm is asking for Jessi.obj
But there is no Jessi :(
I searched in all my folders. The same is with the other tutorials: Always objects are not available.
Why?
thanks
Karl
