Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 13 6:58 am)
In concept only, the way to do this is to have or create a large mass of individual rocks, each of which can be animated moving in a single direction. The camera must follow the direction of the moving mass. During the sequence of the animation, individual rocks on the outer edges of the mass should have their animation slowed or stopped altogether. This gives the effect of portions of the comet peeling away during the movement. The rest of the work is in applying appropriate materials and glows.
just thought I'd share this..I created this vid in Vue..I used one sphere and the 'scatter/replicate objects' function to create the small spheres..(go to top menu/edit/scatter/replicate objects) ...
hadn't had Vue very long when I did this project, was just experimenting, really, but if one were to put some real effert into it, I'm sure they could do better than this, really.
looks neat when rendered with rock material, too..if one wanted to, they could have the rock mat gradually turn into glowing rocks, or just add a glow to the rock mats from the start, of course.

I need to aminate a comet in vue and wondering the best way. I have previously rendered it in AE with Particular but was looking to try it in Vue somehow. I have a couple ideas but would like to see some others oppinions on how to do it. Examples are most welcome.
It can look realistic or B-movie-esq, as long as it doesn't look CGI
