Subject: turning objects

hi! can someone explain me why some objects dont turn in its axis and fly away in a circle.

example: the bones of one hand; the entire hand turns nicely. But if I want to turn a specific bone of the hand (the tumb) goes away making a huge circle. excuse my english and thanks in advance.

It sounds like the pivot point for the object rotating in a big circle is a long way away from the centre of the object.  You can turn on display of pivot points and move them to where you want them.
