Subject: ISO How to: Electric Arc / Lightning

I am creating a scene that requires an electric arc between two annodes.  (Think Frankenstein)

I was hoping to find a model or figure that allowed ambient lighting to get the glow in the scene as opposed to 2D post production.  I have seen several things that 'may' do this, but wanted to ask the community here.

Any ideas?

you can put a primitive square between the two end points and add an image map of the lightning , or you can use a primitive cylinder , scaled to suit and apply a plasma type texture to it with some transparency.

Is probably easier to do it in postwork.

You may find a lightning bolt prop but I dont remember seing any.

oh, and the Frankenstein thing is called a 'Jacob's Ladder'. I think someone made the whole lab a few years ago, unfortunately I can't remember who...

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

I have the Poserstein set and I am using some props from it.   I really like tilting table from the second set and would like to buy it.  It seems that the Poserworks site is down, or no longer in business.    Anyone know if that site is still active?  (I tried to buy, but it kept failing.

I saw it on TurboSquid for $95.00 (ouch).   Any other places to buy this set (for Poser)?

Anyone have a tilting table with straps like the one in the second set? (or know where I can get one like this?)

Thanks,

Dennis
