I'm rendering a large image and it's taking quite a long time.  The numbers in the lower left are now at --- and 00:00:00.00 but I know it's still rendering because the black line is at the top and slowwwwwly moving downward as it anti-aliases. 

In Vue you have a small popup that shows progress (even if the time is way off mostly) but what I like is the rendering image is at 25/28% so you can see what it's doing and where it's at.

Does Bryce7Pro have a setting that I change so that I can see all of the image rendering, not just the top left corner?

And where can I see how far it is in the rendering process?  Why don't I have any numbers in the lower left to tell me where it's at in the cycle?

Any answers would be appreciated.

Turn the nano window at top left to wireframe so it doesn't auto preview, then make sure the render settings are set to priority, and hit the render button, then at the bottom left you will see render times etc. in the main window.

Hey Clay, thanks for answering.  I set the nano to wireframe...that's cool, never did that before.  Also set the priority to high (default must be medium).  Didn't make a difference.  Sometimes it showed a figure and sometimes just the dashes.

One thing that I found was a tick for showing the render time when it's done. I selected that so now it pops up with a render time window so at least I know it's done rendering.

Ya gotta play a bit with settings depending on what you want to render for sure. But check out youtube for some Bryce tuts and that should help ya out a lot.

Normally..the percentage where it's at in render time gets shown at the windows task bar. minimize bryce..and you ought to see it. 

Clay, wouldn't priorotizing to high incease the use of the processor and slow down the computer?

No it utilizes all the processor speed to render, so background apps that are running would chug it down for sure, priority setting tells the puter that this needs done now not tomorrow type of thing.

Erosiaart, I've been afraid to minimize Bryce while it renders.  Some aps get testy when you do that...especially my Vue.  Makes my screen all wonky when I try to maximize it again.  I'll do a test on one of my bigger files and see if I experience any issues on my system.  That would be exactly what I need.

Burpee, doubt if bryce ought to give you trouble.. it doesn't. That's odd that some programs make your screen wonky. I hope it doesn't!

I just tried minimizing and maximizing and there's no issue.  Though it wasn't a large sized file, it was a long rendering file because of the material.  Should be the same for both, I would assume.

On the taskbar I only had the Bryce icon but when I pass my cursor over it I get a popup showing the percentage done.  Great help, thanks again both.
