Subject: Adding sound

If I use Poser to make an ordinary silent .AVI Poser movie:-

(1) Where can I download a good big variety of sound effects?

(2) How (and using what program?) can I insert those sound effects into my movie?

Hi there, you can find royalty free sound clips at flashkit.com

There are other places like it but I don't know them. As for adding the sound to your movie, you could use something like virtualdub, or even Live Movie Maker.

I had trouble downloading Live Movie Maker: google search led me to

http://explore.live.com/windows-live-movie-maker?os=other

and I thus downloaded a file wlsetup-web.exe . When I ran it, it said this as on the image.

I have Windows Vista, not Windows 7.

When I try to download the two update packages named (Service Pack 2 and Windows Platform Update), the loading either jams or takes an age and an age until I have to quit out.

I have made a silent AVI movie using the Poser 7 CGI program.

I have downloaded a short .wav sound effect from <http://flashkit.com/soundfx/>

How, using VisualDub, can I dub that sound on so that it comes in at five particular frames in the movie? I tried it and when I played the result back the sound was at the start frame.

I was able to install it with no problem on Windows Vista. I don't know what might be causing the problem.

**I use Magix Music Maker for multi track sound recording.  You can also make movies and add sound and video special effects.
**

You will use one or more tracks for your movie with or without fade effects between scenes.  You will do the same for your sounds.

This software has so many features you could spend a couple years and still not know it.  I am on version ten and have barely scratched the surface.  So I have not upgraded to the latest version.  My cousin records multi track heavy metal masterpieces with it.

Here is an example I have quickly made for you.  I added an mp3 soundtrack recorded with my midi keyboards to a Bryce animation that previously had no sound and exported it as a Quicktime movie and uploaded it to YouTube.
