Poser Technical F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 02 8:21 pm)
Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.
Where computer nerds can Pull out their slide rules and not get laughed at. Pocket protectors are not required. ;-)
This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.
New users are encouraged to read the FAQ sections here and on the Poser forum before asking questions.
There are probably two seperate things causing you a problem with the outfit shown in the image.
You need to apply the V4 Magnets (known as magnetising) so that the JCMs are properly applied to the clothing (this will help more or less depending on pose).
You need to replicate the settings for any morphs applied to the figure, to the equivalent morphs in the clothing.
Select the figure's BODY actor, then do Ctrl-C, then select the clothing's BODY, then do Ctrl-V (will work only so far as the names of morphs match, assuming they exist in the first place).
A more pragmatic alternative is to turn off visibility for figure body parts that are completely covered by the clothing.
You may still need to add magnets or do morph brushing for adjustment in some poses.
You will almost certainly want to turn off IK, if only to check that it's not responsible for some of the problem.
Honestly that looks like the P4 Female catsuit too.
In order for conforming to work the clothes MUST match the figure. P4 clothing will only conform to P4 figures. Each generation of Poser and DAZ figure have different bone setups. So the clothing from an earlier generation won't conform to a newer generation figure and visa versa.

I'm reallly hoping someone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. Every time I try to apply a piece of clothing to a model (either Michael 4 or Victoria 4.2) when I add the clothing it disappears "into" the figure. I've spent countless hours trying to move them on their accesses and expand their proportions, etc. but it's taking SO long and I just can't get anything right. I've watched turolials on Poser and they never covered adding clothing. I've added injections, tried "conform to", I'm literally ready to uninstall the program I'm so frustrated. I am able to add to Gamma Man (the cartoon figure) his clothing no problem, but everything else is just hell-on-earth. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong/not doing please?! Thanks in advance.

PS, here's an example of how the clothes sink into the figure...
