Forgot to mention, there are many shaping morphs as well.   It's easy to use, just conform the head and apply the texture to both the V4 figure and the Hitomi head figure.   However, you have to do one thing manually and that's to apply the texture on the NeckTrans material on the Hitomi head and also apply the Neck trans.jpg that is supplied so you get a nice smooth blend at the neck.   Check his settings for the trans on the textures he provides and then just add that to your setup.

Ok, I'm feeling really stupid but I can't get Hitomi to work.  I know I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out what.  I've applied a texture to V4's body & Hitomi's head but the NeckTrans is throwing me for a loop. Sad, I know. :blushing:

Any help would be greatly appreciated! ^_^

It's pretty easy actually.   Apply the texture you want to V4 and to the Hitomi head.  Then go into the material room.  Select "SkinFace" material from the head.  Right click on the Poser Surface bar and Select all, then Copy.

Now slect the Neck Trans material from the Hitomi head and Paste the material you copied before.    Then, make a new image node for the Transparency channel and set it to 1.000 and in the image node add the NeckTrans.jpg found in the Hitomi head texture files.  I usually set Transparency edge and falloff to 0.   It will not look right until you render it though, so don't go by the Preview mode.

And that's it.   It probably takes longer to type this than to actually do it :)

This looks like a great way to extend the functionality of the figures we have available now. I hope the vendor will provide some more content and for other figures. Lovely render Kalypso, and thanks for the explaination of the neck/trans.

Thank you lkendall!
Yes, I believe making new heads is the way to go so that we can retain our wardrobes :)  I was a fan of Eszter head for V3 http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=39484 and still use her occasionally http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2104546&user_id=2482&np&np so I was glad to see Hitomi.  And, I've also seen on Maya's site that a morph expansion is coming soon.

I only hope he decides to make one for M4 as well.
