Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
Welding has always caused problems in Zbrush, so I leave this option always unchecked.
So far the jacket is mapped and rigged, modelled for the standart M4 figure. Now I wanted to create a full body morph which I have done for other clothes millions of time.
My workflow is pretty simple: I load my morphed M4, conform the jacket, export both with the options "...body part names" and "existing groups in polygon groups" import in Zbrush with "triangles to quads" unchecked, create the morph in edit mode, export each group back to poser and load the targets there.

Are you sure that you did not accidently export an extra object out of poser? Did you check your counts in UVmapper? I mean, is your original bigger than your ZB export? You may be able to redo the fbm quicker than finding a fix. I learned the hard way. Good luck.
I don't want to mess up your flow but keep this for a rainy day
Yes, I see now that the "base" model is bigger then the model inside zbrush. No I am sure that I have not. I have also tried to just load and export the jacket, got the same problem. I would not care to redo the morph, but I can so far not fix the vertice problem. Will check out your link and hope that things will get better.

I have a strange problem with doing morphs in Zbrush for a jacket model I created. I have used ZBrush on other clothing items for morphs many times and never had a problem like this. When I load my morph target I get the message "target geometries has wrong number of vertices", yet it only happens on the hip area, all other morphs load fine. So I tried just to export from Poser, import to ZBrush and export again without altering the mesh at all, still the same problem on the hip area. I am more than sure that I have NOT added or deleted vertices, I have also tried different export options, the result was either getting worse (zbrush misread the groups of the DAZ m4 model and my jacket so that I only had one par of groups instead two) or I got no effect at all. Please, I would be really grateful for ANY help!
