Im working on a texture for V4 Ranger product from Daz. And would like some advice on fixing my seams. What I mean is adding a seam texture like you would see the spot where clothes are stiched together and would like some advice how to do this and best way to apply this look.

This is my first texture so I am flying blind on this and just trying to figure things out on my own so any critisim on what I have done so far will be appreciated too.

I'm cluesless on how to do this in photoshop or psp, but I bought a little application called Stichwitch for this very reason and it works quite well.

It lets you lay a splice on your uvmap, then pick an image to run along the spline.  All you need then is some stitching images to get a sewn seam.  It has all sorts of options to lay down shadows and suchlike to make things look good.

Stitch Witch looks really useful!  Placing it on the big list of stuff.  :laugh:

Edit:  There's a Stitch Witch by Kamilche available at Phil C's site.  That's the one I'm seeing, anyway....

Thats the one, I got it over at Daz a wee while ago.  It does more than add stitches though, it does flood fills with tiling textures and buttons too.

yep that is the one I just bought Fugazi now going to play around with and then go out and try to find some good leather stiching to add to my product, I feel like its christmas :) if you have any idea where I can find some stiching to use I would be interested

not a clue off the top of my head :) but there are some stiching packs in the marketplace.  You might find some suitabel ones :)

Either of those sites things you can use in commercial stuff.
