All of your free buildings are terrific... thank you very much for being so generous with your talent. Your houses and buildings are among my very favorites for renders. This latest Castle is wonderful!

I really have to echo the sentiments of fauve. All of your historical buildings are wonderful, but this new castle must be my favourite one of all. It is endlessly inspiring, and reminds me of the castles of the Loire Valley. Thank you for transporting me to a beautiful, much-loved realm! Kimberly

it looks great - i downloaded it, looking forward to use asap ... thanks you :) (reminds my of caste newschwanstein in bavaria - only 50 km away where i live ...)

Thank you! My Zippy file is growing nicely :)

Me too. I love the cottages. Almost enough for a village street, now. Please keep em coming, Zippy. Its the generosity of people like you that helps the rest of us enjoy this hobby.

I must add my thanks too - the castle is something I have wanted for ages - I am so thrilled and so are my trolls! You are a gifted creator and a very generous person. Thank you so much.

I've also greatly enjoyed working with his props and am thrilled each time I see a new one pop up. Liked this one and was using it as my desktop background image (somewhat more effective at 2560x1024).

Thanks Zippy!

Now, if I can just add some snowpack on the roof and get that Kinkade look down ...and print a gigazillion calendars....

PabloS ( ) posted Mon, 13 January 2003 at 9:38 PM

Nance, Do you have P5? You might be able to apply a displacement map, along with appropriate texturing, to make snow on the roof.

Nance ( ) posted Mon, 13 January 2003 at 9:54 PM

Let's see ... "snow with displacement mapping" .... check! (Sorry, was adding another item to my "Why I should quit waiting and just go buy it!" list.)

Oh, I completely missed this thread!!!!!! I do like the pictures, and thank you for all the kind comments. My inspiration for the castle was actually the castle in Lichtenstein. I hope you all like my latest castle which will be released her very soon.

Regards, zippy :)

ACK!   Ghosts of renders past!

Thanks once again for releasing all your older stuff as freebies zippy!

-- & I did eventually move on past P4.    Hmmm....   May have to go dig that one out (from 8 years ago!) and run it again with new toys, lights & materials.
