Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 18 2:22 am)

Hi Stark,
How ya doin'?
FYI - The Pnu scale has NOT changed. It's still the same in Poser 8.
(1.000 Pnu = 1.000 Obj Unit)
A Pnu is a Pnu is a Pnu regardless of which version of Poser you use.
That's the beauty of it.
The tut? ... Just click the Attached link: .......... above the image.

The conversion from PNU to feet, inches was documented as 1pnu to 102" in Poser 7
A common figure for Poser 5 was 96 "
Dr Geep has used 100" which makes calculations easy and isn't far off either of the other two.
Apparently 103.2" is drifting about as another 'standard'
You can find out easily by loading a prop, check that the xtran dial is 0 , then move it till the dial reads 102 " , save the prop. Open in a text editor and read the dial setting in the pp2 file. The internal number in the prop file always PNU.
Conclusion: use Dr Geeps tutorial and dont worry about it.
is Naysay guy looking good in P8?

Dr. Geep,
I remember you once had a tutorial on making a concrete block (8"x16"x8") using the Magic Box in Poser 6. How can I replicate that in Poser 8, since the PNU scale has changed?
Thanks-Starkdog
