In the picture it shows one of the problems that I am having with poser I re-installed poser because my walk designer wasnt working then I downloaded the patch for poser so that Michael and Vicki would work right and all that but now my settings dont save like in the picture and all of my old saved poser scenes and characters arent recognized as poser file types (when clicked on to open windows asks what to open it with and there is no small poser icon with the file name) I clicked the box to open all of those file types to open in poser but it doesnt change anything whats the deal!? Is there another patch or something? My poser version is now 4.03 and Im using win98. I havent had this problem before can anyone help?

I don't really have an answer. But I do have a few questions: 1.)how old is your computer? Those pictures look like 256 or possibly 64k color mode. 2.)in Windows Explorer. The pose files are not supposed to be associated with Poser. Are you trying to open them this way? 3.)did you completely uninstall Poser before you updated it? If you've updated Poser4 at all. It's best to uninstall it completely, Install it fresh from the CD, then apply the 4.03 update patch. ScottA

Also, set one of your UI dots after you have everything how you want it.

If you want to be able to set your preffered state again you will have to right click on the icon you use to open poser and go to properties. THere is an option in the window that opens that says "start in" there you have to put in the path to your poser directorie. After you have done that you can set your preffered state again and when reopening poser it will be neat and tidy like you want it. CarolineG
