Anyone know how Poser Debute will differ from Poser 8?

Poser Debut looks like Poser 8 but has quite a few LESS features, e.g., no Face Room, etc.

I'm surprised it doesn't have a Grouping Tool or Hierarchy Editor, they have been around since at least Poser 4!  I wouldn't exactly call them advanced tools.

Maybe they got tired of our requests for a collapsing Hierarchy window, and decided to collapse it all the way to zero.

SM should give some of us free copies of P.D., that we might answer questions about it.  IMVHO P.D. users will be coming here more frequently.  is there another forum for them somewhere?

What Debut needs is Python scriting support and better control over the render settings.  You only have a couple of wacros tied to the old style surfaces pallete and a handful of auto render settings.

Essentially Poser Lite aimed at people who aren't currently Poser users... like myself. :biggrin: 
Since my main interest is Maya's Anime Doll & AD Boy, the change from DAZ Studio to Poser Debut has actually been a big improvement. Plus this means I finally got to try out the Anime EX Shaders which I have been loving!

The decision to leave out the Hierarchy Editor baffles me too. If DAZ Studio users are a target audience at all, you think they would at least leave that in since it'll make the switch that little bit easier as it'll be instantly associated with DAZ's Scene tab.
