Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 09 3:46 am)
Quote - thx for the answer. may i ask why this is illegal? im not using it for commercial work. its just a present. is it cause the object arent allowd to be exported and given to an other person?
Exactly. The object files aren't allowed to be redistributed under any circumstances. It is possible for you to get some free models from some places and pose them yourself, although to be honest, I've never used Vue, so I don't know if posing is even possible in that program.

Ahem, are you not a bit overeager here? For example, the Antonia-License reads:
Quote - ...If you redistribute Antonia or any derivative work, you must, according to the license (see below), acknowledge me as the original creator of the figure, but you do not have to ask for my permission...
which is clearly a contradiction to "not being allowed under any circumstances". So, unless you actually know that distribution of obj-files generally illegal, it probably is not.
And by the way: The OP asked for an obj, which does not necessarily mean redistribution of a copyrighted model, so i do not see anything illegal in what he is asking.

I did say that he could get hold of some FREE models, so I think that pretty much covers Antonia. But hey, go ahead and send him what you want.
to end this discussion and not to start any trouble under the folks here. i found what i need. i downloaded daz studio 4. it is free. i succeeded in posing the 2 figures i need, a male and a female by tweaking a little the premade poses. then i exportet those to obj. those obj. files could be imported in vue. so im on my way :)
poser might me mightier, but daz studio is more simple tool that can be used without much knowledge.
thank you anyway.

And people say Daz's "À la carte" bussiness model should die along with DazStudio itself... Also, funny how we jump to mention legal issues instead of pointing to the easier, most straight forward solution.
Personally I'm glad we have choices to meat our particular needs.

Hi folks,
i need some help. Maybe someone could do this for me.
I want to make a picture for my brother. The picture is called ... the lovers.
I need a simple 3d model of a couple lying on the ground and kissing. I need no textures or anything just the obj file of the guy and the girl. I know this can be done with poser, but my knowledge just isnt good enough. The model should be pretty smooth. Im going to render in Vue.
I´d appreciate your kind help.
