Subject: Poser 7 and problem with Elite Ethnic Faces

schatzy ( ) posted Fri, 24 June 2011 at 11:45 AM · edited Mon, 27 January 2025 at 6:43 AM

Hello,

I'm a user of Poser 7 (and photoshop for postwork) and as said in the title, I have a problem with Elite Ethnic Faces morph.

When i want to use one, nothing appears, I don't have any dials.

I've installed them in my poser runtime and not in my external runtime, and when i open my program, V4 is loaded with morphs++.

I have the same problem with the elite morphs.

I have also Daz Advanced on my computer, but don't use it.

Do I have to install all morph in both daz and poser ? What should I do ?

Thanks for your help, I think it could be so fun to play with these morphs...

Sorry for my simple english, but i'm french... and please answer as simple as you can ! Thanks again...

I think this may solve your problem.

When you install V4 and M4, Daz puts an icon on the desktop to "initialize" the figures. You must click that icon every time you install new Daz morphs such as morphs++ and elite.

If you don't have those icons on your desktop, you can find the .bat files in the Runtime>Libraries>!DAZ folder. They are called: DzCreateExpFiles-V4.bat and DzCreateExpFiles-M4.bat. Click on them and they will initialize the figures.

You can install the morphs in an external runtime. But I believe that it's wise to keep a copy of the Runtime>Libraries>!DAZ folder in your main Poser runtime.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. :)

So I just have to initialize my V4 ?

I'll try... thank you very much !

And I've tried : it don't works...

What sort of dials should I had to have if it work ? Someone can show me ?

Do i have to select only the face, or the entire body of V4 ? Do I have to load ethnic faces first, or don't matter if morph ++ is loaded first ?

It is not necessary to load the entire (or even any) morphs++ before using the ethnic faces.

You do have to select the head to be able to see them.

In attached example, I have used two of the available morphs

Go to your Runtimelibraries!DAZ  and run the DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat.  Sometimes the initializer on the desktop doesn't work.

Oh and you must use the V4.2.cr2 that you installed and not some other one that you might have saved before initializing.

It doesn't matter at all which part of V4 is selected.  The morphs are injected into the correct body part.   And it makes no difference which ones you inject first.  Hope you get it working.

This.

I had the same problem with the Elite Bodyshapes and re-ran the bat file and it worked. :)

I have had some problem in past with init not taking.

To make sure the init takes, you should really bring up dos command box by going to "Start", then "Run..." and type in "cmd" (without apostrophe) then set default to folder where bat file is and execute "DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat" by typing same

Thank you very much, it works !

But for that, I have to load V4 as you said (have to delete the saved figure always opened with Poser7). Don't matter !

But it works ! You made my day happiest !

Again, thank you all for your help !

If you want to get rid of the Poser figure open Poser, delete the figure, you can now adjust what you want your default camera settings, lights, window size, etc and then go to Edit/ General Preferences and click on "set preferred state" and choose "launch to preferred state".   Next time Poser will open the way you want it :)

It would be work if I save my v4 only with morph++ as usual, now she's initialized ?

I'll be able to load other morphs after ?
