there is a small issue with adding a post to your favorites in that it shows some text but does not confirm that it was actually added

I'm not much of a fan either. TThe blue is too bright and garish for my liking. Less than 10 minutes and my eyes were aching. I also don't like the layout of the homepage at all. Too boxy and very unintersting to the eye IMO.

Agreed. I know it's still a WIP, but to what extent ?
I notice that the "Quick Links" block is missing, meaning that there isn't now a directly visible indicator of having new PMs.
The menu/link blocks at the bottom of the pages seem unnecessary and a bit pointless as they mostly duplicate what's in the drop downs of the top menu, but I guess that that's the only place you got to put them after using the righthand strip for other stuff.
Header on the front page is just a bit too high, need to scroll down to see the whole "news" block.
The tabbed blocks you now have in the righthand strip, don't seem particuarly useful as MP and cart/wishlist blocks only show a couple of items.
The "My Account" tab would probably be better as a submenu off the "My Account" entry in the top menu.
The list of people in the chat room isn't something I need.
On the forum pages, the righthand strip is even less useful as all the links that made it useful are now at the bottom of the page.
As you insist on the site content occupying a landing strip down the centre of the screen, the least you could do is use the full width for actual content rather than keeping the righthand strip (even better would be to structure and size the HTML properly so that everyone can use the full width of a maximised browser window).
I actually hate it. The colors in themselves are pretty, but when I look at someone's gallery now, I don't focus on the artwork. I focus on the stupid colors on the surounding page. It draws my eyes away from the art. Away from the products. All I see is bright blue.. it's distracting! I agree with nruddock.

The colours can be fix using the gallery stylesheet, although this doesn't apply to the window for viewing images full size as the user stylesheet isn't output in the HTML for that.

My observations were mainly about the layout (the width in particular) and the "dumbing down" of the content, because as mentioned above colours are easily fixable where it matters most (forums and gallery).
Merchants are just going to have to suffer any ill effects stemming from a poor colour scheme in the MP.

I do agree with you on the colors, it also makes the forums hard to read and hurts my eyes.

Once they let us know that the design is more or less final, it'll be time to work on stylesheets for the forum and gallery (though there's no reason not to experiment a little while it's still in flux).Quote - Just a note that we have changed on the beta site the font color, style and text size to what we currently have on the live site.
Well at least no ones complained about any of those so far (no doubt because the base colour problem hides minor things that people might otherwise nitpick about).
All of those are or should be adjustable where it matters (forums and gallery).
Now I'm getting some lime green super bright pages that won't go away. Its killing my eyes & I can't read anything. This just keeps getting worse. Not happy!
And this is what I'm getting on RO front page... wha?

I don't care for the new look either. Why the h*** don't they leave well enough alone.
OK, it's time for someone to come up with a CSS to make it look like the older one we enjoyed.

Exactly! I know I've said it before elsewhere on the site, but I feel strongly about this, so I'm gonna say it again:) I personally like the blue colour as a colour in itself, but I think the blue background for galleries is not a good decision precisely for the reason quoted above...and lots of folks seem to be finding it jarring to their eyes...please rethink the colour Rendrosity folks - pretty please?
